WHAT IS YOUR PRICING POLICY?
For air charters we charge $11.95 plus gst per mile the aircraft flies to complete the trip.
For sight seeing tours we charge $1195.00 plus gst per hour the aircraft is flown on the tour.
An additional 15% is added to the total cost if you require an external load secured to the aircraft such as a canoe, boat, antlers or supplies.
HOW MANY PASSENGERS CAN YOU CARRY?
BC Yukon Air is able to fly up to 4 passengers per flight.
WHAT IS THE PAYLOAD LIMIT ON YOUR AIRCRAFT?
Our DHC-2 Beaver can carry a maximum payload of 1200 pounds. That weight is including the weight of passengers and cargo.
If your load is at the 1200lb limit there is a good chance that it will require more volume than there is space in the aircraft. It is a good idea to ensure your load is packed down in size as much as possible.
NO FLY ITEMS
Due to flight safety and efficiency certain items are banned from flying:
- Any individual item more than 150lbs
- Old and heavy wood stoves
- Boat motors with more than 15 horsepower
IS THERE VEHICLE PARKING AVAILABLE?
Yes, we have both short-term and long-term parking available at the float-plane base for one large or small vehicle.
If you are bringing a trailer we will require you to park at a lot off-site. There is a base truck that is available for shuttling back to the floatplane base.
We require the keys to be left with us in case the vehicles have to be moved while you are at location.
WHAT TYPE OF AIRCRAFT DO YOU FLY?
We have 2 DHC-2 Beavers capable of flying 4 passengers each.
DO YOU FLY WHEEL OR LAND PLANES?
No, we do not have any aircraft capable of landing with wheels. We only operate into and out-of water.
DO YOU REQUIRE A DEPOSIT FOR BOOKINGS? WHAT IS THE POLICY?
Yes, we do require a deposit for flight bookings. A minimum deposit of $500.00 is required to reserve a trip.
We prefer deposits to be paid via Interac e-transfer or credit card over the phone.
We have a non-refundable deposit policy. Once a deposit has been paid, in the case of a cancellation, we do not refund the deposit. However, we can carry the deposit over for a future trip.
WILL YOU FLY INTO UNCHARTED LAKES?
Yes, we are capable of flying into uncharted lakes. In order for us to determine if the flight can be performed safely, we require that you send us an email with a Google Earth screenshot of the lake you would like to fly into. We will review the lake and area and get back to you in regards to the possibility of chartering there. Please send the email to bcyukonair@hotmail.com
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
We requrie a cancellation to be at least one week in advance of the departure date.
We have a non-refundable deposit policy. Once a deposit has been paid, in the case of a cancellation, we do not refund the deposit. However, we can carry the deposit over for a future trip.
